In a tragic turn of events, Ahmaad Galloway, who previously played as the Right-Back for the University of Alabama’s Tide from 1999 to 2002, has reportedly passed away due to an accidental overdose.

The Office of the Medical Examiner in St. Louis informed TMZ that the former football player, aged 42, succumbed to a lethal combination of fentanyl, ethanol, and xylazine.

Galloway was discovered lifeless in his home on January 9, following his absence from his job as an eighth-grade teacher at Compton-Drew Middle School in St. Louis.

Susan Reid, the school’s principal, mentioned that there were no signs of distress leading up to his demise and that he had recently attended a student basketball game just before his passing.

During his tenure with the Tide, Galloway amassed 1,830 yards and 17 touchdowns. Subsequently, he was selected by the Denver Broncos in the seventh round of the 2003 NFL Draft.
