Garry Shandling has died at the age of 66. He was best known for his work in The Larry Sanders Show and It’s Garry Shandling’s Show. He was taken to a local hospital in an ambulance where he died. No one has announced the cause of death.
He began his career writing for sitcoms. During his career, he was nominated for 19 Primetime Emmy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards. In 1986 Garry created The Larry Sanders Show where he played a late-night T.V. host. He asked real celebrities to come in and play themselves in interview segments and the show lasted until 1990.
Garry would occasionally appear in movies. He appeared briefly in Zealander and he played Senator Stern in Ironman 2 and Captin America: Winter Soldier.
Shandling hosted the Grammy’s from 1990 to 1995 and the Emmy’s in 2000 and 2004.

Garry Shandling’s death was commented upon by many other celebrities and fans as the day progressed, and its clear that his contribution to film and television won’t soon be forgotten. He’ll always be a star as far as Hollywood is concerned, and he’ll live on in the hearts of the lives that he touched and inspired.
