Actor Mark Harmon has decided to address the many rumors claiming that he will exit NCIS after the much-publicized drama with former co-star Pauley Perrette.

Last week, a report came from the The National Enquirer claiming that the beloved actor was feuding with other cast members.

The tabloid also stated that Harmon had received a large sum of money for his upcoming crime show, Prey, based on a series of novels that focus on Minnesota homicide detective Lucas Davenport and his sidekick and had plans to leave NCIS.

The publication said they spoke to a source that revealed the following: “He’s fed up with NCIS and everybody on it. He’s ready to hand in his notice.”

Harmon’s rep reached out to Page Six and said the report “is completely false.”

In a past interview with TV Insider, Harmon was asked, “NCIS could run forever. Will you stick with it?”

He responded by saying: “Right now our writers are all very up and excited. You can see it on their faces. Now, if I ever witness them walking into the writers’ room with their heads down, feeling they’ve done it all, that would be the time to say, “I think I’m done here.” But there is still a real feeling of creativity and a sense of reinvention on our set. It’s so terrific having Maria Bello join us [as forensic psychologist Jack Sloane]. She’s not just a great actress. She wants to be with us. That says a lot.”

The reporter went on to ask: “NCIS is the most-watched series in the world, with 47 million viewers over six continents. How do you get your brain around that?”

Harmon confessed that he was very grateful for the millions of fans and added: “I don’t. You can’t. The international reach is staggering. It’s hard to walk through airports even in the most out-of-the-way places without being surrounded by people who love the show—and that’s nothing to complain about. [Laughs] I’ve done TV shows where I walk through airports apologizing.”

Despite the Perrette drama, the series remains one of the most popular ones on TV and thanks to its passionate fans; it is not going anywhere soon.
