Richard Schiff And His Wife Test Positive For The Coronavirus

Page Six has learned from a new Twitter post that the West Wing alum, Richard Schiff, and his wife, Sheila Kelley, have come down with COVID-19. Schiff admitted in a tweet this week that he contracted the coronavirus on Election Day, which means his last few days have been “bizarre,” to say the least.

The Good Doctor star went on to write on his account that it was “tough,” but he and his wife are “determined” to get through it and get back to their normal condition again. The actor expressed his support for many other people out there who are “struggling with this thing.”

Kelley, who also appears on the same television show, added that she and her man were “hanging in there.” Some of their West Wing co-stars, including Marlee Matlin, Tim Matheson, and Melissa Fitzgerald, sent their well-wishes.

This wouldn’t be the first time an actor had contracted COVID-19. As most know, Tom Hanks was the first to reveal his positive diagnosis near the start of the pandemic back in March. Tom and his wife, Rita, announced the news on their Instagram account.

On Election Day I tested positive for Covid-19. This has been the most bizarre week of our lives. @thesheilakelley is also positive. This is tough. We are determined to find a way to health again. We root for everyone out there who are struggling with this thing. Love from here.

While most people recover from the virus, not everyone has, including young people. For instance, Amanda Kloots announced on her Instagram earlier this year that her husband, Nick Cordero, had died after a grueling battle with the illness.

Nick was diagnosed positive with COVID-19 in July, and it didn’t take long for his symptoms to worsen which wound up putting him in the hospital. Earlier this year, Amanda shared a post in which she honored her late husband with pictures from his previous birthday celebration.

Amanda wrote in the caption of another photo of Nick blowing out his birthday candles, “my angel in heaven is celebrating his birthday today.” Kloots revealed that the photos came from a party at one of their friends’ homes who live in Laurel Canyon. She said it couldn’t have been a better party for him.

The late Cordero struggled immensely during his final days on earth. He had a temporary pacemaker installed, a limb taken off, and finally passed away approximately 3 months later.
