After Hannah Brown got in water over singing the N-word on Instagram Live, Tyler Cameron took to his own platform to defend her. He even encouraged his followers to go and ‘lift [her] up’ even after Rachel Lindsey slammed her apology!
As you might know, Hannah has already apologized but the other Bachelorette was not happy that she did not do it on camera and instead, released a written statement.
On the other hand, Tyler thinks Hannah is ‘learning and growing’ so people should cut her some slack.
He shared the video from Rachel on IG Stories first, before he proceeded to share his opinion on the whole thing.
Rachel admitted that she was very offended Hannah had not taken her advice and apologized properly via video, stressing that non-black people should never use that word.
Of course, Tyler totally agrees as he went on to mention.
‘Rachel hit the nail on the head. You need to look at the comments. We still have a long way to go on this issue and also a lot to learn. If you find yourself getting defensive, you’re part of the problem,’ he wrote.
He also mentioned that he’s been getting some hate for agreeing with Rachel and supposedly going against Hannah.

Tyler addressed these comments, saying that: ‘This is not about dragging Hannah. This is about using your platform for reasons like this. So that we can educate those who do not get it. This is bigger than Hannah Brown, this is a societal problem.’

Finally, he concluded his post by defending Hannah and encouraging people to lift her up instead of sending so much hate and negativity her way: ‘In these moments you have the opportunity to bury somebody or lift them up. We need to lift Hannah up from this. She’s learning and growing just like every one of us. Love rids hate. Hate only makes more hate. Let’s lift each other up with love.’
